AM Swim 1K time trial PM Stone to Shoulder practice - moderate loads - tight form - 15 min + HS walk practice - 15 min + L Sits on parallettes - 10 sec hold; rest 20 sec x 6
The Swim 1K time trial turned into swim 25m (the length of the pool) in 18-20 seconds, recover 40 seconds, for 30 minutes. My swimming technique still needs work. Im pulling to much with my arms and not kicking enough with my legs.
I couldnt find a "stone" so I used a 60Lb cement umbrella stand. I started in a deep tight squat/DL position, then extended the hips and knees, and at the same time brought the stand to the stomach, then chest, then shoulder for fifteen minutes.
HS walk practice turned into starting in a HS position against the wall and slowly pulling my feet away from it. I was able to stand in the HS position for 20-30 seconds.
The L sits felt good with the exception of the cramping in my left quad on the final set. But I still go the 10 second hold.
